Contract-To-Hire Placements

In some situations, “Contract-to-Hire” (a hybrid of temporary and direct hire) is adopted so that employers and candidates may engage in a “courting” stage prior to engaging in a long term relationship. This enables an employer to ensure that a new hire is a correct and proper fit for the position they were desiring to fill, while the candidate may prove themselves to the organization over a short period of time while confirming the culture is a good fit for him or her.  During the contract period, the individual being placed is employed by the staffing agency.

In contract-to-hire, the process moves rather quickly.   For this reason, it is imperative to outline all terms prior to engaging in a working relationship with an agency, such as:

  • How candidates will be evaluated.

  • How long the contract period will be.

  • How candidates will be transitioned over to permanent employees by the employer.

In the end, contract-to-hire has a multitude of benefits to offer both employers and candidates.  Therefore, whether your a candidate seeking a new “home” for yourself or you are an organization looking to fill a gaping hole, consider contract-to-hire to satisfy the need at hand.

Temporary Placements

Temporary employment can satisfy many needs by an employer, such as unforeseen workloads, seasonal needs, specific projects, leave of absence, and other limited-term needs. During temporary assignments, the employee is employed by the staffing agency.  Similar to contract-to-hire, when considering temporary labor, it is vital to touch on all terms beforehand, such as the specifics of the position, any necessary requirements needed by the candidate to satisfy the role, and length of time for the assignment.  Maintaining constant communication between client and agency is essential to ensure a proper candidate match is met for the assignment.

Temporary positions can be great options for both companies and candidates.  It enables companies to save on employee costs while satisfying specific assignments within their organization.  For candidates, it offers a short-term flow of income while providing an opportunity to gain experience and learn various skills from different industries.

Direct Hire Placements

In these cases, Everest Recruiting understands and respects that creating the ultimate synergy between candidate and client is of the utmost importance. With this in mind, we take the time to consult with the hiring staff so that we may learn about all needs of the organization, including but not limited to the particulars of the open position, while observing the culture and understanding what our client can offer to our candidates.  This thorough process we undertake, coupled with robust and prominent technological search offerings ensures an optimal match will be made, at which point we may bridge the gap between our candidate and client.

Oftentimes, our clients will adopt a “Direct Hire” methodology for a couple of reasons:

  • They are not pressed for time to fill the position immediately, therefore enabling them to wait for the perfect candidate

  • They have a well-defined position and truly understand all nuances of the opportunity’s duties, responsibilities, and requirements.

  • Companies use direct hire to fill leadership positions, unique roles which require specialized skills and to appeal to skilled employees who may not be willing to start on a temporary basis.
